We will be holding our Bi-Annual Dinner & Dance which promises to be great fun and an opportunity to meet old friends and new alike. The event will be a celebration of our alma mater and good food, drink, music and festivity will be provided.
As we rejoice at the reunion of old friends, we will remember one of our dearest departed, Dr Olumide Awe, a former Chairman of the Igbobi College Old Boys Association Europe Branch. We will be holding the first ever Dr Olumide Awe Memorial Lecture to honour his memory and make a contribution to intellectual discourse on subjects important to our community. We have therefore invited Dr Dele Olajide, who is a distinguished mental health practitioner, as our inaugural speaker to talk about the stigma of mental health amongst black Africans. It promises to be very informative and educational.
